She was born January 29, 1930, in Hartford, Connecticut to Joseph and Nellie Ivanauskas, both immigrants from Lithuania.
Blessing her family with many wonderful memories, “Fran” was known for her smile, wit, laughter and sparkling blue eyes; her deep love of her husband, Paul F. Juneau, whom she cherished for 68 married years; her strength as she raised eight children; and her intelligence. She had the gift of showing grace, and, always thinking of others, spread her infectious happiness to all who knew and met her.
The love of Fran’s life, Paul, survives her. Also surviving are children Diane (Joe) Godwin of Charlotte; Christine (Don) Gagnon of Boise, Idaho; Susan Juneau, David Juneau and Elaine (John) Palmer, all of Charlotte; Kenneth (Alana) Juneau of Davidson, N.C.; Phillip (Esther) Juneau and Frederick (Cindy) Juneau, all of Raleigh; and 16 grandchildren and 7 greatgrandchildren.
Fran was preceded in death by brother V. Joseph “Keet” Evans of Hartford, Conn. Surviving are her siblings Helen Crosby and Joseph A. Evans, both of Hartford.
A visitation for Fran will be held Tuesday, September 14, 2021 from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM at McEwen Pineville Chapel, 10500 Park Road, Charlotte, North Carolina 28210. A Mass of Christian Burial will occur Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at 11:00 AM at St. Ann Catholic Church, 3635 Park Road, Charlotte, North Carolina 28209 preceded by a Rosary at 10:30 AM.
