Frances Norine Smith Mode

A native of Charlotte, Mrs. Mode was born on September 25, 1931, and was the last surviving child of the late Almon Peter Smith and Alma Norine Merritt Smith. She retired from Delmar Photography Studio after 50 years of service. Mrs. Mode was a member of the Red Hat Club. She is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Donald Mode, Sr., four brothers and one sister. Mrs. Mode enjoyed the last years of her life with her Mode family.

Mrs. Mode is survived by her daughters, Kathy Mode Church (Michael) of Monroe, Karla Mode Segee (Blaine) of Monroe; sons, Kenneth Mode Jr., of Matthews, Eric Jody York of Charlotte, W. Billy York of Monroe, Jerry Victor York of Charlotte; eight grandsons, two granddaughters, two great-grandsons and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held 11:00am, Saturday, October 13 in the chapel at Wilson Funeral and Cremation Service, 5301 Albemarle Rd., Charlotte. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home. The family will be at the home of Kathy and Michael Church.
