Frances "Scotty" Scott Mundorf

She was born August 18, 1927, in Winston-Salem, NC to Frank and Margaret Scott. She received her Nursing degree at NC Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem, NC. There she met a young doctor who became the love of her life. She and George Mundorf, MD married on March 3, 1948.

Spending time in Winston-Salem, Destin, Florida, and settling in Charlotte, she and George raised their four sons: George Fredric Mundorf, Thomas Kent Mundorf, James Scott Mundorf, and Jon Gallatin Mundorf. Scotty was active in her boys’ lives as well as spending time with George. She enjoyed water skiing, golf, and gardening when she was not busy with “her boys.”

Scotty is survived by her sons George (Ric) and his wife Nancy, Thomas (Tom) and his wife Michelle, and James (Jim)and his wife Nancy, as well as many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents, brother Jim, sister Janice, and son Jon.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, August 10, 2022 at 2:00 pm at Forest Lawn East -3700 Forest Lawn Drive, Matthews, NC 28104. The family will receive friends following the service.
