Cisco was born on December 10, 1962, in Brooklyn, New York.
Cisco proudly served in the United States Army from 1980 to 1993. His military service was one of the great passions of his life, and he often spoke fondly of his time serving his country and the experiences he had while stationed overseas. The friendships, adventures, and sense of purpose he found during those years remained close to his heart throughout his life.
Beyond his military service, Cisco was a man of many talents and interests. He loved music and sports and possessed an extraordinary gift for art. He could draw just about anything, bringing creativity and imagination to life through his work. Those who knew him also knew his generous spirit. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to neighbors, friends, and family members whenever they were in need.
Above all, Cisco cherished time spent with his family. He leaves behind a legacy of memories with those who loved him most.
Cisco was preceded in death by his father. He is survived by his mother, older sister, younger brother, his children, grandchildren, extended family, and many friends who will miss him dearly.
Like many families, ours was touched by the effects of alcoholism. Cisco struggled with this disease for many years, and despite his efforts, it ultimately became a battle he could not overcome. We share this part of his story not to define his life by his struggle, but to honor the truth of his journey and to help break the stigma surrounding addiction.
In Cisco's memory, we encourage anyone struggling with alcohol or substance use, or anyone who loves someone who is, to seek support and treatment. Recovery is possible, and asking for help is a sign of courage and strength.
While alcoholism was part of Cisco's story, it was not the whole story.
He will be remembered for his proud military service, his remarkable artistic talent, his willingness to help others, his love of music and sports, and the deep love he had for his family. He was loved beyond measure, and his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
A graveside service will be held Thursday, June 18, 2026 at 12:30 PM at Salisbury National Cemetery Annex, 501 Statesville Blvd, Salisbury, NC 28144.
