Frank R. Bossi

March 2, 1949May 13, 2020

Frank Ralph Bossi, 71, passed away on May 13, 2020.

He was born on March 2, 1949 in Fairmont, WV to the late Julius and Helen Bane Bossi.

Frank graduated as Valedictorian from Bethany College in Bethany W.V. in 1971 with degrees in Physics, Chemistry, and minors in Math and English.

Frank lived life well until his stroke in 2003. He was well respected in his careers with his positions working for Calgon Carbon Corp, Chemical Waste Management, Greenfield Environmental and Jacobs Engineering/Linde Corporation. Frank's career took him to two environmental disasters, Three Mile Island, and the Exxon Valdez oil spill in Alaska. Frank loved the challenge. Additionally, outside of work, he loved humor, wine collecting, traveling, and music.

Frank is survived by his wife, Catherine "Cathy" (nee Fredericks) and his brother Jeffery Bossi of Wilmington Delaware.

In lieu of flowers, donations to volunteer time, food or other items to your local food banks and charities during this extreme time of need would be appreciated if you desire.

Frank enjoyed a great party and a party will be planned for later this summer. Frank saved his Silver Oak wine for a special occasion. There is no better occasion than this to share this wine with his friends. Frank would tell you he died. I say RIP my love.

Cathy you are in our thoughts today as I read Franks obituary. You were so kind to my brothers and I when our mom suffered a stroke at the same time as Frank We spent many hours together in the ICU waiting room waiting for our chance to visit with Ruby and Frank.

Know that we still find comfort in how kind you were to us during that very tough time and feel your loss now with Franks passing. It’s very clear that Frank loved life.

I'll always hold Frank's memory close to my heart. I met Frank for the first time, when I flew to California to see Cathy. He was kind, big-hearted, funny, and probably the smartest man I've ever met. If more people were like him, this world would be a wonderful place.

In high school, 2 years age difference was significant. Frank, however ignored it or better yet, liked to rebel against it by being my friend. I was one of the first to ride in that beautiful Hot Rod 57 Chevy. Frank always acknowledged me in public and that meant so much to a self conscious underclassmen. Rest easy old friend.

I have so many wonderful memories of spending time with Cathy and Frank during Christmas dinners and musical house concerts along with other great times. Thank you Cathy for including Frank in my life. His humor and personality was infectious. You, my friend, are the best wife and partner that Frank could have wished for. Both your hearts are giving and so caring even through your own challenges. Frank always told me silly jokes and I treasure my time with him. He will be loved now and forever. My wish for all is to be released from the pain and sadness and remember all of the good times that you had together. All of my love and respect to you Cathy for how you have handled your life during all of these years together. Peace, love and light to you during this time. I will miss Frank dearly and treasure his memory. Love ❤️

While I didn’t know Frank personally, I knew his wife Cathi. I am so very for the loss of your sweet Frank. You were the best wife a man like Frank could ask for, during these difficult years and I’m sure way before he had his stroke. Your unwavering commitment to Franks care goes way beyond what most people would’ve done. You’re an angel Cathi. May God wrap you in his arms during these difficult days ahead of you. With much love and light, I send your way. God speed Frank. Come August, we will celebrate you and your life, as only in true Frank form. Cathi has shared many beautiful memories of the two of you, and I’m sure will share many more. Love you Cathi.
