Frank (Pete) Pierce Truesdell, age 82, of Johns Creek, Georgia passed on Saturday, March 11, 2023. Frank was born in Charlotte, North Carolina, the son of the late Samuel Everett and Frankie (Mosteller) Truesdell. He was the brother of the late Ted Truesdell (Shirley) and Samuel Truesdell (Gretchen). He was married to his wife, Donna for 54 years before she went home to be with the Lord in 2019. He was a proud father to Michelle Drehoff (Dean) of Alpharetta, Georgia and Barbara Hoffman (Tyler) of Spartanburg, South Carolina. In addition to his wife and daughters, he is survived by six grandchildren that he took much pride in, Jake Drehoff (Tori), Paige Drehoff, Abigail Hoffman, Hannah Hoffman Siniard (Nicholas), EMN2/SS Jonathan Hoffman, and Sarah Hoffman; two great grandchildren, Blythe Siniard and Jaxson Drehoff and several Nieces and Nephews.
He graduated from McKeesport High School in 1958 before entering the Air Force and eventually going to work for TWA as an aircraft mechanic for the rest of his career. He retired early to care for both his wife and mother, each with their own health challenges. He never complained and was often seen wheeling two wheelchairs, one after the other, into his grandchildren’s sporting events and dance recitals. A few things that brought him joy included spending time with family, bowling, playing tennis, racquetball, Wii or any type of arcade game, traveling, eating a good meal and telling others about his grandchildren. He also worked hard to attain his commercial pilots license and owned a small Cessna airplane that he proudly maintained and flew for many years.
Visitation will take place at Sharon Memorial Park Mausoleum on Friday, March 17, 2023 beginning at 1pm. Funeral Service will follow at 2pm in the mausoleum chapel.
Those desiring may make donations to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America at alzfdn.org.
