Frankie Leatherman Scronce
April 30, 1920 – January 12, 2021
Frankie Leatherman Scronce was born the daughter of James Thomas and Viola May Warlick Leatherman on April 30, 1920.
She was graduated from Lincoln County’s Union High School in 1937 and then went on to complete a business course. She was a longtime member of Charlotte’s Holy Trinity Lutheran Church where she served on the altar guild, was a member of the Olin Sink Bible Class and taught children’s Sunday School. She retired from Barkley Enterprises in 1982 where she was a bookkeeper.
In 2014 she moved to Woodbridge, VA to live with her son. She enjoyed various kinds of needlework, gardening and reading. She was married to Ralph O. Scronce, Sr. who preceded her in death in 1998. Her survivors include son, Ralph O. Scronce, Jr. and his wife Patti, plus three grandchildren: Zachary, Carrie and Daniel, all from Woodbridge, VA.
Due to Covid restrictions, the family will celebrate Frankie’s life with a private memorial service at Sharon Memorial Park.
