Gabriel “Gabe” Tucker Williams, 26, of Fort Mill, SC, tragically passed away on October 17, 2026. He was born in Iredell County on January 14, 2000, to Jenny Horton Williams and Tristan Shane Williams.
Along with Gabe, his precious girlfriend and the love of his life, Aeryn K. Sutherland, also tragically passed away. They were riding his motorcycle when a drunk driver pulled in front of them, taking two lives far too soon.
Gabe was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Allen Horton, and his paternal grandfather, Ronnie Williams.
Gabe was a beloved son, brother, uncle, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend. He graduated from Nations Ford High School and was employed by Food Lion in Fort Mill, where he worked as an Assistant Manager in the produce department. Gabe was a consummate professional who took great pride in his work and made his department look stellar every day. He was always willing to lend a hand wherever he was needed.
Gabe was a passionate gamer, loved riding his motorcycles, and was an animal lover—especially when it came to his soul cat, Biddy. He was also an avid pool player who loved his Two Buck Family. One of Gabe’s greatest joys was playing with his nephews, whom he loved so dearly.
Gabe filled the lives of those around him with love. He was sensitive, compassionate, and unassuming, with a gentle spirit and deep concern for others. His mother called him the “still water” of the family, a calming presence that healed everyone around him. He treated everyone with respect and kindness. The impact he had on all who knew him will never be forgotten.
Gabe is survived by his parents, Jenny and Shane Williams, of the home; his brother, Parker Williams, of the home; his sister and brother-in-law, Millie and Lennon Brooks, of Raleigh; his nephews, Winston and Baker Brooks, of Raleigh; his maternal grandmother, Mildred Essick, of Pilot Mountain, NC; his paternal grandmother, Cathy Williams, of Hendersonville; and his future in-laws, Alex and Angie Sutherland, of Tega Cay. He also leaves behind aunts, uncles, cousins, a very special coworker family at Food Lion, and a tight circle of friends who loved him dearly.
Amid this heartbreak, Gabe’s family takes comfort in knowing that he was the happiest he had ever been, and that his final moments were spent doing what he loved most: riding his motorcycle and feeling the arms of Aeryn wrapped around him. They are now forever soulmates, together throughout eternity.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 24, 2026 at McEwen Funeral Service-Pineville Chapel. The family will hold visitation at noon, followed by a service at 1 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family is accepting donations in Gabe’s name to the Humane Society of York County.
As you move through life, remember to love like Gabe.
