
Born on November 10, 1943, in the Bronx, New York, Gail lived a life rich in love, laughter, and unwavering generosity.
Gail was the beloved wife of Kenneth Danberg, with whom she shared a deep and enduring bond. Together, they traveled the world, explored new places, and created countless memories. Their love was a testament to a partnership built on mutual respect, joy, and shared adventures.
She was a dedicated mother to her children, David Danberg, Elana Brody, Ira Danberg, and Robert Danberg, who were the center of her universe. Gail's nurturing spirit and boundless love extended to her grandchildren, Jack Danberg, Sam Danberg, Goldali Danberg Biggs, Rubin Danberg Biggs, Jordan Brody and Ezra Brody who cherished her stories, kindness, and playful spirit.
Gail's education began at James Monroe High School and continued at Miami Dade Community College, where she graduated in 1975. Her thirst for knowledge and commitment to personal growth was evident throughout her life.
She was a proud member of Temple Kol AMI, where she found a community that shared her values and faith. Known for her generosity, fun-loving nature, and compassion, Gail brought joy to everyone she met. She had a special talent for making people feel seen and loved, and her spirit was infectious. Whether playing cards, enjoying a game of mahjong, or simply spending time with friends, Gail's laughter lit up the room. Her kindness and zest for life were inspirations to all who knew her.
In honor of Gail's memory and her love for children, the family kindly requests that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
Visitation will be held at McEwen Funeral Service Inc., 10500 Park Road, Charlotte, NC 28210, on Sunday, August 9, 2026, from 9:00 am to 10:00 am with service following in chapel.
A Committal Service will take place at Hebrew Cemetery, 1801 Statesville Ave, Charlotte, NC 28206, on Sunday, August 9, 2026, at 11:00 am.
