Twenty years ago today on September 11 2001 Gary and I where working together in Raleigh NC heading to our next appointment when Flight 11 hit the WTC. When we got to our destination we watched everything unfold on TV and were horrified along with the rest of humanity.  With my flight back to Atlanta canceled Gary offered to drive me down to Greenville SC where I could meet my wife who was able to come up from Atlanta and drive me home. Pretty much every year after Gary and I both made an effort to connect on 9/11 and talk about that day as well as catch up with each other’s lives a bit.  Now 20 years later I not only feel the loss associated with 9/11 but also the loss of not being to connect with Gary as we did every year on this day.  Know that I am thinking of you today and will always remember you on this day as we go forward as well as the experience we shared as fellow Americans.  Rest In Peace my Friend!
