He was born January 21, 1941 in North Wilkesboro, the son of the late Dewey Templeton and Marian Boettiger.
Gary joined the Marines straight from high school and then worked as a mechanic most of his life. He retired at 60, and we traveled at least eight to nine months of the year.
He is survived by his wife, Deborah Templeton; daughters, Paula Dudli Davis and Pamela Dea Watts; grandchildren, Andrew, Autumn, Katie and Dominic; as well as his sister, Delores Rosenbalm.
In addition to his parents, Gary was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Raven.
A service for family and friends will be held at 4:00 pm on Sunday, August 1st, at his home.
Burial will be at the V.A. Cemetery in Salisbury.
