The adventure of life came to an end for Gary Wolf on the morning of October 19, 2026, at the age of 78. Born in Wadsworth, Ohio, on May 9, 1948, Gary lived a life fueled by curiosity, creativity, and a love for adventure.
His involvement in Boy Scouts and his service in the United States Marine Corps helped set the stage for a lifelong passion for travel, exploration, and new experiences. From aviation to scuba diving, delighted in sharing his adventures and stories with anyone willing to listen.
Gary was a man who was never still. His mind was always working, always thinking, and always dreaming up his next project or idea. Whether tinkering in the garage working with wood or metal, he found joy in creating things with his own hands. He was happiest when he had something to figure out, fix, build, or bring to life. His curiosity and ingenuity were as much a part of him as his adventurous spirit.
Gary leaves behind his wife, Barbara, and his children, Alexis, Laura, Stacy, and Michael; his stepchildren, Suzie, Jenni, and Tom; and 11 grandchildren, who carry forward his memory and the stories of a life lived with curiosity and a spirit of adventure.
In recognition of his service to our country as a United States Marine, Gary will be laid to rest at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. Funeral and burial arrangements will be announced at a later date.
