Gaynelle Price Crump

Mrs. Crump, age 86, of Pineville, entered into eternal rest on January 1, 2014. She was born November 8, 1927, in Gilbert, SC. She was the daughter of the late Mathis & Lizzie Price. She was a graduate of Pineville High School and a member of Stough Memorial Baptist Church. She was a life-long homemaker and beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother who thought the world of her family.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 69 years, Jack; one son Ritchie Crump & wife Susie of Huntersville, NC; two daughters, Pam Battey of Charlotte, NC, and Jill Knox & husband, Jerry of Fort Mill, SC; her grandchildren, Jennifer McGuirt & husband, Dustin, Jessica Knox, Shannon Filliben, Ricky Venable, Josh Crump & wife, Lauren Hill, Jeremy Crump & wife, Nicole, Nicholas Garris & wife Jessi; her great grandchildren, Brittany Smith, Camryn & Ayden Crump & Kinsley Price McGuirt and Leighton Crump; two sisters, Lee Cockrell, of North Augusta, SC, & Daphne Roberson of Greenwood, SC; and nieces and nephews.

Proceeded in death by her beloved brother, Scott Price.

The family wishes to thank Hospice for the support and care they provided during this difficult time.

Her family will receive friends on Saturday, Jan. 4, 2014, from 1-3p.m. at the McEwen-Pineville Chapel, 10500 Park Road, in Charlotte, followed by her funeral service at 3p.m. Reverend Rodney Cripps and Reverend Lee Davis will officiate. Interment will be in the Pineville City Cemetery in Pineville, NC.
