George is survived by his best friend, and love of his life, Terri Altier. George and Terri made a wonderful life in Charlotte, NC where he was a pillar of his community.
In addition, George is survived by his three children, Tanya McCorvey, husband Keith of Georgia, Justin Altier and Josh Altier of Charlotte, NC. George was also blessed with three grandchildren, Lisa Nees, husband Trey, Emma Altier and Liam Altier.
George was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Dave and sister, Grace. He is also survived by his brother, John and sister, Annie.
George was a proud Navy man, who served his country for 25 years and retired as CWO4. He will be missed by all who knew him.
The family will greet friends starting at 1 pm on Wednesday, November 13, 2024 at McEwen Funeral Service - Pineville location, located at 10500 Park Road in Charlotte. Service will begin at 2 pm in the McEwen Chapel.
