George Marshall Lemmert, Jr. passed away on June 26, 2026. He was born on December 30, 1941, in Cumberland, Maryland, to the late George Marshall Lemmert, Sr. and Audrey V. Lemmert (Humbertson). He was raised in Lewistown, Pennsylvania.
George spent much of his career working in the tool and die industry. He enjoyed gardening and generously volunteered in the kitchen for many church events, where he quietly served others and built lasting friendships.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Karen Lemmert (née Mellinger), and by his sister, Beverly Jane Bruckner (née Lemmert), wife of William Bruckner of Tequesta, Florida.
George is survived by his children, Kirsten Daniel and her husband, Richard; Seth Lemmert; and Marshall A. Lemmert and his wife, Emily, all of Charlotte, North Carolina. He is also survived by his stepdaughter, Heather Wilson (née Lemmert), and her husband, Dale Wilson, Sr., of Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
He was a grandfather of six grandchildren, including Jonathan Otto "Ott," whom he lovingly helped raise from early childhood, and a great-grandfather to four great-granddaughters.
