George graduated Valedictorian from Gulfport High School, Gulfport, Mississippi then he joined the (USAF) United States Air Force in 1955 where he was trained as an Aircraft Maintenance Technician George retired from the USAF with honors in 1977. While working as a engine specialist he earned his degree in Business management from Trident Technical College, Charleston SC. From there George opened a car repair business and worked there until he relocated to Charlotte, NC where he worked at Auto Zone commercial driver until the day before his surgery.
George departed this life on June12, 2018 at Carolinas HealthCare System Pineville, Charlotte, NC.

Stephanie Stewart, Flint MI. Dwayne Muscroe, Denver CO. Fifteen (15) grandchildren Seven (7) great grandchildren. Three (3) step-sons: Jimmy Sweat, Maurice Thompson, Phashendi Thompson. Two (2) adopted daughters: Angela Johnson and Oliayah Johnson

George was preceded in death by (3) brothers, Louis Stewart Jr., Anthony Wayne Stewart Sr., and Vinson Leo Stewart. Five (5) sisters; Janice Hollis (Herman), Granada Hills, California, Rhonda Barnes (Willie), Victorville California, Ercill Odon, Sheryl Thompson and Vicki Fairley (Terry), One (1) very devoted sister-in-law, Angie Stewart, of Gulfport, MS and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
