Georgia Mae Ellis Locklear, age 80 of Charlotte, N.C. passed away on January 11, 2018. Mrs. Locklear was born in Blacksburg, S.C. to the late Loy and Leavy Ellis. She is preceded in death by her parents and brothers; J. L. Ellis of Winter Garden, FL.; Robert Ellis of Randolph, AL; Harry Lee Ellis (infant) of Blacksburg, SC; sister; Lucille Ellis Windham of Gaffney, SC; step-daughter Dana Ann Locklear.
Mrs. Locklear lived her adult life in Charlotte, N. C. She graduated from Blacksburg High School and the Beauty School of North Carolina.
She is survived by her husband Teddy Locklear of Charlotte; daughter; Teresa Carroll of Blacksburg, SC; two grandchildren and one great granddaughter.
A visitation will be held for Mrs. Locklear on January 15, 2018 at 11:00 am. Funeral services will follow at 12:00 pm in the Paul Helton Chapel at Forest Lawn West Funeral & Cremation Service 4601 Freedom Dr. Charlotte, NC 28208 with Chaplain Garry Revels officiating.
