Jerry was a longtime client of mine with his sweet Maltese dog Andy. He always walked into the salon singing  a song and did so when he picked Andy up as well. We all loved him. I went to visit him several times after he moved to Charlotte. I still miss him.

What a huge loss to many friends. My family has known Gerry for close to 40 years. We first met Gerry at his shop in the Casa Del Mar hotel in Ormond Beach. He designed and made three generations of my family’s jewelry. His memory will always be with me on a daily basis because I wear many of his rings. We followed him to Boca, Kissimmee and then to Monroe and Matthews. He loved candy, so from his days in Monroe and Matthews; I would mail him boxes of Wuerthers, etc to hand out to his “good” nurses. His nickname used to be the Goldbug, but because of his candy habit; he became known as the “CandyMan”! We saw him for the last time in September. You knew that he didn’t feel his best, BUT he was always able to make everyone happy and laugh. We’ll miss you Gerry but will never forget you! Rest in peace dear friend! Jerry was 1 in a million. He would walk into my salon singing joyfully with his sweet little dog Andy. He was a very special person to me. He designed and styled my wedding rings for both my husband and I. We visited Jerry in Charlotte when we would pass thru. I think of him often. Rest in peace my friend! I will never forget you.

It’s not easy to know what to say to one who has lost someone near and dear to them, but I sincerely hope that you and your family will take comfort in knowing that the last enemy death will soon be done away with. The inspired words of our loving Heavenly Father tells us that …”He will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore.” (Rev. 21:4)
