Gerry was such a good friend. We shared many dinners together at our house and our favorite cafes. I loved to hear him laugh when I would tell him a joke ever time we met. I am so glad we got together when I came back form Kauai last 4th of July. Thank you for blessing our lives my dear friend.

I have known Gerry for more than twenty years and valued his friendship, his constant care an concern for others, as well as my dealings with him in trading instruments and bows. His passion for music and instruments, as well as his devotion to Doris were constants in my friendship with him over the years. He will be missed by all who knew him.

My condolence are with Doris in her grief.  Gerry took me as a violin student when I was 79 years old.  He was patient and skilled as a teacher.  His friendly sense of humor made each lesson a time of fun.  He found me a wonderful old violin with a beautiful tone (when he played it).  He was a nice, pleasant person and a very skilled violinist.  He will be missed.

Gerry was my violin teacher from the time I was 11 years old until I graduated High School.  I will forever cherish the memories I have with him. He was so talented,patient and kind-hearted. May he rest in peace.

Gerry would have me laughing minutes after we started any conversation, but more important than that, he nurtured my daughter's love for music and violin. He knew exactly how to praise and encourage her, and he knew how to make it all fun. He also gave much to the community in the violin concerts he would present in local venues. Gerry will be greatly missed. Our love and prayers go out to Doris at this time.

Gerry, was a great teacher and representative for the symphony.  He taught our son the viola for years and, always exhibited great patience and love for teaching.  He will be deeply missed.  Our deepest condolences to his family.

Gerry and I were first and foremost friends....long time, friends.  Violin and Doris were his life.  No more knowledgeable person in Birmingham when it came to an instrument.  We were stand partners for many years and his enthusiam and positive attitude when performing was so inspiring and made each performance fun.  He was such a good man, in love with his beautiful Doris.  He kept that twinkle in his eye for all to see.  I will miss him.  My deepest, heartfelt condolences go to his entire family.

I remember the first time I heard Gerald play the violin...it was heaven.  He is now without pain and can play his violin always.  Prayers at this difficult time.
