Gerry was born in Pineville, NC to Ila Hudson Mullis and Charles Mack Hudson. Gerry moved to Charlotte when she was five years old. She met and married her childhood sweetheart in 1952.
She is preceded in death by her husband Ira (Buck) Greene, Jr., parents and sisters Edna Stamey and Jean Ridings.
Gerry touched everyone she met with her kind heart and beautiful blue eyes. Gerry never met a stranger, she talked to everyone. She loved to talk about her grandchildren and how smart they are.
Gerry is survived by her children Larry Greene (Nancy) of Winter Garden, FL, Cindy Greene Justice (David) of Raleigh, NC and Danny Greene (Becky) of Charlotte, NC; grandchildren Madelaine Greene, Chase Greene, Chris Justice, Timothy Justice, Daniel Greene and Rene Greene.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 6 at 11am in the McEwen Funeral Service chapel located at 5716 Monroe Road in Charlotte, NC. Burial will immediately follow at Sharon Memorial Park.
