Born in Statesville, she was the daughter of the late Grady B. Stewart & Ruby Kennedy Stewart. Mrs. Dowell was a retired pre-school teacher, and was a loving wife and mother.
She is survived by her three children, Julie Janssen, Sandra Crowson and Stewart Crowson. She is also survived by two grandchildren, William Scott Baucom and Alexa Nichole Baucom.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 19, 2019 at 2:00PM at Forest Lawn West Funeral and Cremation Service with burial to follow in Forest Lawn West Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 1:00PM - 2:00PM at the funeral home prior to the service.
