Glenn Baughman

Glenn Heins Baughman, 82, of Sardis Oaks Nursing Facility in Charlotte, died September 2, 2012. He was born on July 20, 1930 in Jackson, MS to the late Clifford Glenn Baughman and Caroline Heins Baughman.

Mr. Baughman graduated from Central High School in 1948, and UNC Chapel Hill in 1953. He worked at WMAR Channel 2, Baltimore for 28+ years, then taught television production at Dundalk Community College.

Mr. Baughman had a lifetime interest in art, and was a very gifted painter.

In 2010, Glenn moved to Charlotte after living in the Baltimore and Towson areas of Maryland for 56 years. Mr. Baughman will be missed by those that knew and loved him. His smiling countenance brightened many people’s lives. The family wishes to express its appreciation to the caregivers at Sardis Oaks.

Mr. Baughman is survived by his sister, Virginia Lawing of Charlotte, NC; his brother, Bill Baughman and wife Louise of Waxhaw, NC; and numerous nieces and nephews.
