

Born in Landis, NC on September 25, 1926, Mr. Freeze was a son of the late Herbert Edgar Freeze and Dorothy Verona Correll Freeze and was the fourth out of twelve children. He retired from The Industrial Electric Company with over 40 years of service and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Mr. Freeze attended Providence Baptist Church, Harrisburg and was a member of the Derita Masonic Lodge 715th. He was also a 32nd Degree Scottish Rite Mason.
A funeral service to celebrate his life will be held at 1:00PM, Saturday, December 22nd at The Derita Chapel of McEwen Funeral Service with Rev. Rody Carland, of Providence Baptist Church, officiating. Interment with Masonic and military honors will follow in Carolina Memorial Park, Kannapolis. The family will receive friends from 11:30AM to 1:00PM prior to the funeral hour.
Mr. Freeze is survived by two sons, Darrell Freeze and wife Debbie, of Fuquay-Varina, Dennis Freeze and wife Lisa, of Cornelius; five sisters, Cora Ella McWaters, of Landis, Doris Stillwell, of Concord, Mary Scarborough, of Charlotte, Nancy Clayton and husband Bobby, of Landis, Joyce Robbins and husband Rodney, of Charlotte; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and a very special companion, Ann Eure, of Harrisburg.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Freeze was preceded in death by his wife, Juanita Freeze; five brothers, Elbert Freeze, Leonard Freeze, Ray Freeze, Melvin Freeze, Billy Freeze and a sister,
Betty Daniels.
