Goldie Springer Holt

Mrs. Holt, age 82, of Charlotte, died Sunday August 24, 2014 at her home. Born January 28, 1932 in Albemarle, she was a daughter of the late Clarence J. Springer and Florence Talbert Springer. Mrs. Holt retired from Wesley Nursing Center at the age of 69.

The family will receive friends 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM Thursday at Wilson Funeral & Cremation Service. Funeral service will immediately follow at 12:00 PM in the funeral home chapel with her nephew, Rev. Jeff Springer, officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memory Gardens. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Holt was preceded in death by her husband, John Walter Holt on July 4, 2007. Survivors include four children, Ronnie Simpson Sr. (wife, Jeannie), Vickie Simpson, Mark Holt and Jonnie Holt; six grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; and four siblings, Roy Springer, Walton Springer, Blanche Vanhoy and Ruby Jordan.
