Grace Magdalene Moore McLendon

A native of Charlotte, Mrs. McLendon was born to the late Fantom Edward Moore and Dezzie Polk Moore on February 12, 1921. She retired from Mitchem & Tucker after 40 years of service. Mrs. McLendon was a member of St. John's United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women, The American Legion Auxiliary and was a former member of The Golden Years Club and Hickory Grove United Methodist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, Lacy C. McLendon.

Mrs. McLendon is survived by her daughter, Linda Gordon Carpenter and husband Burl of Charlotte and many nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m., Thursday, January 19 at St. John's United Methodist Church, 4305 Monroe Rd., Charlotte. Interment will follow in Sharon Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday.
