Grady Arlee Stutts, 91, of Charlotte died Sunday, March 3, 2024 at Preston House in Charlotte. A native of Charlotte, Mr. Stutts was born to the late Walter Grady Stutts and Beatrice Cole Stutts on October 23, 1932. He graduated from Derita High School where he played baseball and basketball. After graduation, he was employed by Southern Bell until his retirement.
After retirement, he worked for Universal Phone Systems. Mr. Stutts played tennis, enjoyed square dancing and watching baseball and basketball on television. He was a member of Cole Memorial United Methodist Church and Oak Grove Methodist Church. Mr. Stutts was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Hattie Overcash Stutts; siblings Harold Stutts and Jeanette Johnston.
Mr. Stutts is survived by his daughters, Diane Bizzell of Charlotte, Cathy Fletcher and husband Scott of Cornelius; brother, Thomas Stutts (Cindy) of Huntersville; grandchildren, James Bizzell (Lauren), Josh Bizzell, Ashley Falcone (Jeremy), Crystal Fletcher, Bryan Fletcher (Courtney); great-grandchildren, Tyler Figaro, Kyrsten Figaro, Lydia Bizzell, Alexander Bizzell, Grady Fletcher, Waylon Fletcher, Hattie Fletcher, Silas Fletcher, Claire Falcone and Ben Falcone.

Visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 6 at McEwen Funeral Service, Derita Chapel, 6300 Mallard Creek Road, Charlotte. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel. Interment will follow in Gethsemane Memorial Gardens.
