Gull was born on June 14, 1944 in Vietnam to Dim R’Com and Thoi Ksor.
Gull was also an Army Veteran, during his time he earned the honor of a Green Beret. During his working years Gull worked as a welder, specializing in lighting for bridges. His last and longest job to retirement was a social worker for Charlotte of Diocese. As told by his grandson, Phoenix, we don't know all that he did there but a cool aspect in my eyes was how he helped refugees come into the states and help them start a new life here. The refugees we met were always different types of people with different cultures exposing us on how big the world is. Another thing is that he was a proud pilot during the Vietnam war where he flew a chinook, a transport type helicopter where he gets troops out of a tricky situation and brings them back to base for aid. He was always getting troops to the field and provided support. He told me he was rank captain.
Gull was married to the love of his life Chuk R'Com and together they loved 7 children. He is survived by his wife Chuk Y. R’Com; 4 daughters, Xuan R’Com of Vietnam, Suit R’Com of Vietnam, Suin R’Com of Vietnam, Suing R’Com of Charlotte; 3 sons, Gip R’Com of Charlotte, Gim R’Com of Charlotte, and Gang R’Com of Charlotte; 12 grandchildren; and many other family members and friends.
