Gwen Bowman

Born in Charlotte, North Carolina, to Jack O. Bowman and Helen F. Clark, Gwen lived a life rich in love, family, and purpose. A proud graduate of Garinger High School and ITT Technical University, she pursued her passions wholeheartedly and brought joy to those around her through her vibrant spirit and kind heart.

Gwen found great joy in life’s simple pleasures—music, caring for children, her deep love for animals, and spending time with her family. Her warmth and compassion touched everyone she met.

She is preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Courtney Gwen Davis of Midland, NC.

Gwen is survived by her devoted parents, Jack and Helen Bowman; her loving sons Troy Hunt of Midland, NC, and Cory Hunt and daughter-in-law Stephanie Hunt of Charlotte, NC; her sister and brother-in-law Gale and Jay Sperry of Monroe, NC; her nephew Jason Sperry of Monroe, NC; adored grandchildren Jasmine, Jackson, Shea, Sammy, and Gabriel; and her precious great-granddaughter Luna.

Gwen was the heart of her family and a light in the lives of many. Her memory will continue to inspire and comfort all who knew and loved her.

Condolences and memorials can be sent to Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church in Mint Hill, NC, in remembrance of Gwen Bowman.

She will be missed deeply and remembered always.
