Gwynne Lee Brown

Charlotte - Lee Brown, 73, died peacefully on January 4, 2018. He was a Vietnam Veteran and served our country in the U.S. Navy for 27 years. He was a volunteer fireman most of his life, the last 20 years in Minotola, NJ. Lee loved southern gospel music, and adored his grandchildren. He was a member of Central Baptist Church in York, SC.

Lee is survived by his loving wife, Carol (DeFreitas) and three children, Ken and Jill of Virginia Beach, VA, Scott and Jill of Stanford, KY and Susan (Krissoff) and Joe of Brentwood, CA. He is predeceased by his son, Thomas Lee Brown, His nine grandchildren are: Ashley, Lizzie, Ellie, Elijah, Dorie, Isaac, Jacob, Abe and Sarah.

Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon on Friday, January 19th in the chapel of Harry & Bryant Funeral Home, Charlotte, NC. The family will receive friends from 11:00-11:45 a.m. prior to the service. Interment will follow at 2 p.m. at Salisbury National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Central Baptist Church, York, SC or the Minotola Fire Co., Minotola, NJ.
