Reserves. He worked for Huttig Sash & Door until his retirement in 1989. For many years, he
ran his own business, Odds 'N Ends, where he custom built door frames and moldings for
building contractors.
In 1951 he married the love of his life, Margie Bradshaw. Through 64 years of marriage they
displayed wonderful love and devotion to each other, which was most clearly displayed by his
"sweetheart" in the way she took care of him during his illness.
Throughout his life he crafted beautiful woodwork, including a cross that hangs in the choir loft
at his church where he sang for over 30 years. He was blessed with a distinct tenor voice and
often sang at special events, including weddings and funerals. He was an active member of Paw
Creek Presbyterian Church for over 45 years, where he served as an Elder and taught Sunday
