On July 30, 2019 Harold Dean Emerson went home to be with his dear savior, Jesus. He was born in Greensboro, North Carolina to Wylie James Emerson and Dott Harris Emerson on August 1, 1934. He served in the army as a corpsman during the Korean War. He made his living as a master furniture finisher. He enjoyed fishing and sports but gained the most pleasure from telling others about his Savior, Jesus Christ.
He was preceded in death by his wife LaVerne Russell Emerson, and his younger sister Jerri Emerson Grissum.
He leaves behind his daughter Dorothy Emerson Ellis and her husband Jeffrey and their two sons Mark William Ellis and John Daniel Ellis of Charlotte, his older sister Jean Greshum of Raleigh, five nephews and three nieces.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 3 at 10:30AM at Hunter Acres Baptist Church at 4520 Heman Road in Charlotte, NC. He will be laid to rest at Forest Lawn West after the service.
