Harold A. Lockwood “Butch”, 75, of Marysville, OH died Wednesday March 13th in Union County North Carolina.

The Marysville, OH native was born November 14th, 1943, a son of the late Herbert and Opal Price Lockwood. He married Joyce Marie Burrell February 26th, 1966.

He was a musician for 11 years in the United States Air Force 502nd Band. Then he was a devoted, ordained minister of the gospel of Jesus Christ for the remainder of his life, offering solutions of love and peace to countless thousands over these years.

He re-married to Barbara Anne Westenberg Dougherty of Charlotte, North Carolina on July 1, 1995 and has resided in Mecklenburg County up until his passing.

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 24 years; Barbara Anne Lockwood, one sister, Mary Lockwood of Grove City, OH, 5 children; Robert Edward Lockwood, David Eugene Lockwood, Theresa Marie Sobczack, Sean Michael Dougherty and Mary Therese Dougherty; Grandchildren; Zachary Todd Lockwood, O’Ceann Lockwood, Madison Grace Lockwood, Jacob Arthur Lockwood, Jasmine Marie Sobczack, Gabriel Todd, Isabel Quimby, Ellaura Fraelich; Great Grandchildren; Kennidee Marie Sobczack-Mussenden and Paisleigh Denise Lockwood. Also, two brothers William “Bill” T. Lockwood and John Eugene Lockwood; 3 sisters Rebecca Thompkins, Roberta Peterson and Frosty Amey are deceased.

Services will be held at McEwen Pineville Chapel, 10500 Park Rd., Charlotte, NC 28210 on Saturday, March 16, 2019 with the visitation from 11 am - 1pm, and the funeral beginning at 1 pm.

Burial will be at Lockwood Family Cemetery, Wiggins, SC.
