

Harold Milton Morrow of Charlotte, North Carolina, passed away at home on April 15, 2012 after a period of declining health. He was the son of Augustus Ray Morrow and Ruth Knox Morrow and was born on September 22, 1926 in Charlotte. He graduated from Central High School in Charlotte and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1949. He was married to the former Randall Hudson of Tarboro, North Carolina.
He was preceded in death by his wife. He is survived by his daughter, Elizabeth Randall Morrow, and her husband, David H. Jones, and their four sons, Andrew Jones of Los Angeles, California, and Nathan, Conor, and Henry Jones, all of Charlotte. He is survived as well by his special friend, Augusta McDonald, who holds a special place in the hearts of his family. He is also survived by his sister, Elizabeth Arnold, and his brother, Robert K. Morrow, of Charlotte, as well as a nephew and two nieces and their families.
Mr. Morrow worked his entire career in the insurance business, first for the James J. Harris agency and later the Cameron M. Harris agency. He was a former member of Carmel Country Club and a long time member of Trinity Presbyterian Church.
He enjoyed reading, golf, and all University of North Carolina athletics. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He gave his time generously to his family, friends and community. He was a Southern gentleman with a wry sense of humor.
A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at Trinity Presbyterian Church on Monday, April 23rd at 11:00 am. A reception will be held immediately following the service in the church's parlor.
