Hal was born on November 28, 1932, in Alden, PA to the late Harold Ambrose Reeks and Mildred Elizabeth Gaffers Reeks. Hal married his loving wife, Marilyn (Lynn) McClinchie Reeks, of 48 years on August 24, 1957, in Nutley, NJ. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War and was stationed with the NSA in Washington, DC; then graduated from Syracuse University with a B.A. in Business Administration in 1957; and was a former member of Boy Scouts of America, Delta Tau Delta, Elks, and a Barber Shop Quartet in Binghamton, N.Y. Hal was a System Analyst for IBM for thirty years and retired in 1991. He was a loving father and grandfather, who had a lasting impression in our lives. Hal was always a joy to be with; inspired us to be adventurous; to stand up for what we believe in; and encouraged us to see the world. Hal is survived by his daughter, Beth Ann Reeks-Lloyd, and his grandson David Russell Lloyd, of the home; his son, Jeffrey Charles Reeks of Boynton Beach FL; and his brother Richard Reeks and sister-in-law Jeannette, of Virginia Beach, VA.
