Born in Spruce Pine, NC on November 14, 1938, he was a son of the late Cecil and Maxine Forbes Renfro.
Harvey was the owner of P&R Trailer Repair.
Preceding him in death were his wife, Nancy Jean Renfro and a brother, Ike Renfro.
Survivors include three children, Harvey D. Renfro and his wife, Cheryl of Rockwell, NC, Curtis Renfro and his wife, Teresa of Charlotte, NC and Lisa Rippy and her husband, Bobby of Charlotte, NC; two siblings, Sis Willis and Wade Renfro and his wife, Carolyn, all of Spruce Pine, NC; 8 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
Memorial services are planned for 3:00pm Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at McEwen Funeral Service-Derita Chapel, 6300 Mallard Creek Rd., Charlotte, NC. Visitation will be from 2 to 3 pm Wednesday at the funeral home.
Burial will take place in Northlake Memorial Gardens, Alexanderana Rd., Huntersville, NC.
