Eddie was a devout Christian and a godly man who put his faith first, as witnessed through his unwavering dedication to his family and his church. He was a loving husband to his wife of 27 years, and a caring, devoted father to their three daughters. Patient, attentive, and faithful, he provided a constant and steady pillar of support for his family.
Eddie’s many tremendous qualities also made him a loyal son, brother, and friend. His vibrant personality, quick wit, and exceptional sense of humor lit up the lives of those who knew him. Eddie had a remarkable ability to turn ordinary, day-to-day observations into amusing and entertaining stories. He was always ready with a joke, anecdote, or one-liner, perfectly timed to catch his friends and family off guard. This gift was something he generously shared, as he was always willing to open up to new people in all situations. He would frequently strike up conversations with anyone he met, and truly enjoyed building and maintaining those relationships.
Eddie was also well known throughout the community for his prodigious musical talent. As an accomplished keyboardist in various local bands—including popular jazz-fusion group, The Brubakers—Eddie used his incredible skill to give back to his community and bring joy to people. For the past sixteen years, he has glorified God through his passion for music by playing keyboards at Christ Lutheran Church.
Eddie was employed at Penta Engineering as a computer software engineer. Greatly loved by his coworkers and friends, Eddie was a very talented programmer, and a valuable asset to the company.
Eddie is survived by his wife, Mindy Ritch; their three daughters, Kelsey, Cameron, and Chandler Ritch; his mother, Nancy Ritch; his father, Harvey Ritch, Sr.; and his three brothers, Randy, Joe, and Robert Ritch.
