Hazelene Hubbard Tench

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Rex Marsh Tench and son, Rex David Tench.

She was born on July 14, 1915 in Mecklenburg County and grew up in Paw Creek. She attended Paw Creek School and was a member of Paw Creek Presbyterian Church where she was the eldest life-time member and an Honorary Life Member of the Presbyterian Women. She retired from Union Carbide where she was an inspector.

Surviving are her son, Gary Marvin Tench (Carol Ann); daughter-in-law, Carol Jean Tench; sister, Elva Beatty; grandchildren, Tim Tench (Rhonda) and Tiffany Kolbay; great grandchildren, Cody Tench (Alysha), Kelly Tench and Campbell Marsh Kolbay; great-great grandson Levi Tench, and many nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held at 1:30 pm Monday, June 8, 2015 at Paw Creek Presbyterian Church with Reverend Gary Bryant officiating. Interment will follow the service in Forest Lawn West Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday evening at Forest Lawn West from 6:00 until 8:00pm and other times at the home of daughter-in-law, Carol Tench.
