Helen Henderson Wilson Skerry

Helen was born on June 30, 1921 to John and B. Wilson of Charlotte, NC. She was a dedicated and loving wife and mother. Her life was exemplified by her uncompromising optimism, her ability to offer encouragement, and to lift the spirits of everyone she encountered. Her absence will leave a vast void in the lives of so many.

She is survived by her loving children, Barbara McFall and husband Robert of Southport, NC, Peggy Wren and husband Jim of Charlotte, Robert Skerry II of Colorado, and Carol Ashford and husband Roger of Charlotte. Her grandchildren are Lisa Park Winston and husband Mike, Tim Wren and wife Sherry, Brian Wren, Rob McFall and wife Lea, Andrea Skerry, Claire Skerry, Olivia Skerry, Robert Skerry III, and great-grandchild, Elle McFall. She is also survived by her brother, Ken Wilson of Winston-Salem, and her sister-in-law, Virginia Wilson of Charlotte.

To celebrate her full and wonderful life, the family will receive friends at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 12th at Harry & Bryant Company, 500 Providence Road, Charlotte, NC, followed by a memorial service at 1:00 p.m. in their Chapel in The Oaks. Burial will be in Arlington National Cemetery.
