Helen Simpson Simpson Whitesides

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde N. Whitesides, grandson Chris Whitesides, and mother and father Mary and Frank Simpson.

She is survived by her son Gary Whitesides, and his wife Sherry, her son John Whitesides and his wife Marie, eight grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.

She was a friend of Bill's and devoted herself and life to the service of others for more than 35 years.

Her family will receive friends at Wilson Funeral Home located at 5301 Albemarle Road from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, February 28, 2011. There will be a graveside service held at Sharon Memorial Park on Tuesday, March 1, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. A memorial service will be held in her honor at Queen City, located at Providence Road United Methodist Church at 2810 Providence Road Charlotte, NC 28211 on Saturday March 5, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. Donations in her honor may be made to Metrolina Intergroup Association, 1427 South Blvd. #106, Charlotte, NC 28203-4200.
