Helen Vee Woodle, 89, passed away on February 20, 2017 at White Oak Manor in King’s Mountain after a long illness. Helen was born on December 10, 1927 in Clover, SC to the late John and Nannie Morton Woodle.
She grew up in Charlotte, having worked in hosiery mills and retiring in Data Control from PTL Broadcasting.
Helen loved her church where she sang and played both the saxophone and the harmonica. She was a true believer in God.
Most important was her family; even acted as a surrogate mother to her nieces and nephews. Helen will surely be missed as she was a loving and caring person who always helped her family and anyone else who needed it.
Helen is preceded in death by four sisters, Alpha,Ola, Ruby and Mary; two brothers, McNair and Garland; two nephews and a niece. She is survived by several nieces and nephews, and stepsister, Joyce.
A graveside service will be held at Forest Lawn West Cemetery on Thursday, February 23, 2017, at 2pm. Family and friends will gather at Forest Lawn West Funeral Home one hour prior, at 1pm.
