

Herb was a cherished and loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend. He was born on August 15, 1932 in Charlotte and attended Charlotte Technical High School. On September 24, 1950 he married Carolyn Moser Fisher. At age 19, he started his career managing a shoe store in Charlotte. He then spent more than 20 years with Pillsbury in a series of management positions throughout the Southeast. Later, he was the owner of Gold Seal Pet Food in Birmingham, AL. In the mid 80's he returned to Charlotte, where he owned and managed Fisher Oil Company. He and Carolyn built and managed the Fisher Ostrich Ranch until his retirement. He was a lifelong member of the Freemasons of Kingsport Council #117 and an avid saltwater fisherman.
Herb was predeceased by his parents Herbert Holland Fisher, Sr. and Phronia Eppley Fisher; grandson Matthew Edward Fisher. Those of us who remain will miss him deeply and tenderly. We are children Ed (wife, Linda) Jim (wife, Adrienne) and Cindy; grandchildren Ben, Ian and Zoe Fisher, Alex Carter; great-grandchildren Ethan and Thomas; sister Patricia G. Fisher.
Please join us for visitation from 1-2pm on Saturday, April 7 at McEwen Funeral Home located at Sharon Memorial Park (5716 Monroe Rd, Charlotte 28212) and for a graveside service shortly thereafter. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
