He was born on the 20th of June, 1945 in South Lebanon, Ohio, a son of the late Virgil Oscar Terry and Pearlie Johnson Terry. Hugh served faithfully in the United States Army during the Vietnam war.
Hugh worked as a forklift operator for over forty years in Chicago, IL and also here in Charlotte, NC. His proudest achievements was bring a husband, brother, father and grandfather.
He is survived by his loving wife of forty-nine years, Linda Lou Terry of Charlotte, NC; his children: Alberta Lynn Terry, Hugh Daniel Terry and his wife, Danielle and Randy Hensley; three grandchildren: Rebecca Grindstaff, Adara Lynn Terry and Daniel Alexander Terry; and one sister, Barbara Colon of Illinois.
