

Born January 23, 1943 in Hahira, Georgia, he was a son of the late Herbert Smith Coppage and Geneva Parrish Coppage. Following graduation from Savannah High School, he attended Armstrong State College and later served in the Georgia National Guard. He spent the majority of his career as a financial advisor at Smith Barney.
Jack was a member of Providence Baptist Church for 39 years where he served in many capacities including the Finance Committee, Columbarium Committee, as an usher and a member of the Friendship Couples Class. He enjoyed traveling, reading, golf, tennis, Georgia football and became a fan of the Alabama Crimson Tide by way of marriage.
The joy of Jack’s life was his family. He married Nancy Harned Coppage on July 31, 1970 and was a devoted husband, father and grandfather and was lovingly referred to as “Daddy Jack”.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 44 years, Nancy Harned Coppage; son, Greg Coppage; daughter and son-in-law, Ashley and David Honeycutt, all of Charlotte; and seven beloved grandchildren, Abbey, Emma, Ellison and Anderson Coppage and Jackson, Spencer and Carson Honeycutt; as well as his sisters, Betty Sue Scudder of Duluth, GA and Linda Stewart of Perry, GA; his brothers, Billy Coppage of Fayetteville, GA and Paul Coppage of Plant City, FL; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Dorothy Alberson; and brothers, Vernon Coppage, Arthur Coppage and Edward Coppage.
A service to celebrate Jack’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 7th at Providence Baptist Church. The family will receive friends following the service. Private interment will be in Sharon Memorial Park.
