Jack Ray Roberts, age 73 of Charlotte passed away October 3, 2011 at Carolinas Medical Center. A graveside service will be at 2:00pm Thursday at Forest Lawn West Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00PM Wednesday evening at Forest Lawn West Funeral Home.
Mr. Roberts was born July 26, 1938 in Rock Hill, SC son of the late Lawrence Christopher and Ervin Stowe Roberts. He served in the US Navy, had been employed by Carolina Foods eight years, previously owned the Stockyard Grill ten years and his last employment was with Velocity Express as a Courier.
Surviving are his wife of 42 years, Linda Hendrix Roberts, daughters, Terry McRae (Jonathan) of Kannapolis, NC, Lynn Sharpe (Ken) of Gaston, SC, and Leigh Pack (Keith) of Charlotte, nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren, brothers, Larry Roberts of Chester, SC, Sherrill Roberts of Myrtle Beach, SC and Marvin Roberts of Gilbert, SC.
