Mrs. Jackson, age 83, of Charlotte, passed away March 31, 2024 after a short battle with cancer. Her children were at her side when she slipped from this earth and entered into her new heavenly residence.
Born May 31, 1940 in Rocky Mount, NC, the third of five children by the late Larry Batchelor and Nollie Jones Batchelor. She was a homemaker until her children were out of school. When the Carolina Panthers came to Charlotte, they hired her to be their seamstress.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Justa Jackson.
She is survived by her two daughters, Debbie Todd and husband Donnie of Indian Land, SC, Gail Goare and husband Frank of Richmond VA; son, Allen Jackson and wife Sherry of Charlotte; and seven grandchildren: Austin and Stuart Todd, Titus Goare, Leah Moore, Hannah Latham, Kara and Dylan Jackson.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, April 9 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at McEwen Funeral Service, 10500 Park Road, in Pineville. Funeral service will be held at McKee Road Baptist Church, 4300 McKee Road, Charlotte, NC 28270 on Wednesday, April 10 at 10:00 a.m.
