Jacob Barnes Swimmer

It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Jacob Barnes Swimmer, 27, who left us far too soon on February 2nd, 2025. A ray of charismatic sunshine in the lives of all who knew him, Jake was unapologetically himself, and his passing leaves an irreplaceable hole in our hearts.

Jake exuded kindness, compassion, and warmth - the fearless star of every show who always had a way of making everyone around him feel included and seen. His natural connection with animals and children was a testament to his unconditional love for all walks of life. Beyond his gentle spirit, it was Jake’s unwavering generosity that defined him, always ready to lend a hand or offer up some of his “Jake wisdom.”

He is survived by his parents, David and Kirstin Swimmer, his sister, Natalie Swimmer, his grandfather, Harry “Gramps” Swimmer, and his dogs, Leia, Olive, and Duck. He is now in the arms of his grandmothers, Marilyn “Grandmolly” Swimmer and Molly Maughan, and his grandfather, Charles “Beep” Barnes.

The Swimmers will honor Jake’s life with family and close friends at his favorite place - Misty Meadow Farm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of your choice to commemorate Jake’s innate desire to help others and his altruistic spirit that will live on forever.
