What a wonderful tribute for your mom and Nana. It was executed perfectly as she had planned. She was and is very proud of her family. 

I knew her as Aunt Jackie, loving wife to my Uncle Fred.  I treasure the memories when my dad and his brother would meet halfway at their mom’s farm on Lake Gaston for many a family event.

Her grandchildren’s eulogies were spot on.  As you know, my Uncle Fred was a cut-up, prankster, but always fun to be around.  I would remember many a time when my Aunt Jackie would rein him in. When she felt like things were getting out of hand, I can hear here saying “now Fred, stop that, that’s enough, or you know better than that.”  And she wasn’t asking. The picking would cease, at least for a while.  

In her later years, she reminded me so much of my own grandmother. Humble spirit, soft spoken, strongly independent, and matter of fact. But ALWAYS in a loving spirit, always looking for ways to serve and encourage others.

The Taylor side of the family ever grateful; yet again, we experienced what a sacrificial caregiver she was as she cared for my Uncle Fred in the last few years of his life.

Wonderful service and tribute to a classy lady.  We will see here again.

Suzie, Debby, Pam, and Chip -
To varying degrees I’ve known each of you since I was a baby or in early childhood simply because you and I were raised in church together. Our parents were friends along with multiple other couples from Calvary. Their friendships and consequent gatherings hold strong memories for me and perhaps for you as well.   I remember when your daddy died, but it wasn’t until your mom and Fred married that I began to appreciate your mom as single parent.  It was then that only the girls continued to live in the Ashley Park house. On one occasion I was visiting Pam when your mom came over to check on things, give instructions, etc.  I was fascinated by her, the living arrangement and her carefully maintaining the family unit.  What a well thought out and executed plan and juggling act that obviously kept the family intact and flourishing.  She nurtured so well that you all obviously have had much respect for and devotion to your mom and to each other. It was  apparent then, during the time she needed your care, and in these days since her passing.  Even the way you’ve done her obituary demonstrates it and the ways you all work together on how to proceed in keeping yourselves in a strong family unit in the days ahead.  Her life changed drastically when she was but 36; so did all of yours.  Each of you are a testament to how well your mom handled the challenge and are giving the honor due her.  
Much respect in your handling of this drastic change in your lives. 
My sincere sympathy regarding the absence of your mom in your day to day lives.
Much joy in the thought of her presence before the King of Glory!

After seeing Jackie's smiling face every week and having the honor of doing her hair, she became like family.  She will forever be missed at the shop. I loved hearing her stories, and she often told me how proud she was of all of her children and grandchildren. My thoughts and prayers are with her wonderful family.

Wonderful memories of such a sweet lady......from Ashley Park days, Calvary Baptist Church and Choir. My love and payers are with the family during this time of loss.   Hold tight to your precious memories, and  may God shelter you in His loving arms.
