Jacquie S. Doby

Jacquie S. Doby, 77, of Charlotte, passed away June 19, 2026. Born September 13, 1948, in Winston Salem, NC, she was the daughter of the late Roscoe "Lloyd" and Elva Celia (Jennings) Schuyler. She was the wife of the late Ernest "PeeWee" Doby.

A graduate of West Forsyth High School, Jacquie went on to further her education at ECPI University, where she obtained her Associates Degree in the medical field.

She was a member of Mountain Island Church of Christ. She was also a former singer with the Arthur Smith Show, traveling the world and meeting many celebrities for numerous years.

An avid reader, Jacquie enjoyed her time working at the hospital, visiting Ocracoke Island, Bar-B-Q King, telling stories from her past, spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren who referred to her as "GiGi."

A strong independent Godly woman, Jacquie raised four children on her own after the untimely death of her husband.

She is survived by her four children, Kristen "Kristie" Doby, Amanda "Mandy" (Robert) Mills, Angela "Angie" (Philip) Vasquez and Casey (Mary) Doby; grandchildren, Addison Wilson, Brodie Wilson, Nathan Vasquez, Ruby Vasquez, Carter Doby, Camden Doby and Braxton Doby; sister, Skokie Roberts; great aunt, Grace Spainhour; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, Jacquie was preceded in death by her grandson, Parker Joe Vasquez; brothers, Richard "Dickie" Schuyler, Joseph "Joe" Schuyler and Rocky Schuyler.

A visitation for Jacquie will be held on Thursday, July 2, 2026 from 10:00 am until the time of her funeral service at 11:00 am in the sanctuary of Mountain Island Church of Christ, 4205 Mt. Holly-Huntersville Road, Charlotte, NC. Burial will take place at 12:30 pm in Forest Lawn West Cemetery. Condolences may be submitted at www.forestlawnwest.com
