A graveside service will be held at Sharon Memorial Gardens on Saturday, May 22nd at 11:00 AM. Stuart Noell of New Covenant United Methodist Church will be officiating. Funeral arrangements are being handled by McEwen Funeral Service at Sharon Memorial Park.
Bruce was born in Charlotte, NC on March 4th, 1928 to Lester and Lois (Whitlow) Foster. Bruce served in the US Navy in World War II. Bruce graduated after his military service in 1948 from Central High School.
Bruce was married to Dolores “Dee” Foster for 70 years and the couple owned Air-Vac, Inc., working side by side for over 30 years. Bruce was a devoted husband to his wife Dolores and they enjoyed traveling, camping and boating. Bruce loved his family and was a faithful Christian.
Bruce never met a stranger and always had a smile on his face. He enjoyed a good cigar and a straw hat. Bruce’s hobby was woodworking and created beautiful stools that he enjoyed giving to his family and friends.
Bruce was preceded in death by his lovely wife, Dolores Foster, his parents and all of his siblings. He is survived by his two sons, Dean Foster and his wife, Gail and Drew Foster and his wife, Wendy; two grandchildren, Jason Foster and Amber-Drew Foster Showers and three great grandchildren, Adalyn and Drew Showers and Carson Foster.
In lieu of flowers, friends may make memorial contributions to New Covenant United Methodist Church, 14514 Lucia Riverbend Hwy, Mount Holly, NC 28120.
