Mr. Long died on Monday, August 27, 2012, in Houston, TX.
He was born on July 26, 1945, to Margaret B. Long and the late James D. Long, Sr.
He was a graduate of Pineville High School and Wake Forest College.
He was retired from Aramco Services in Houston.
He is survived by his mother, Margaret B. Long, and a nephew, Kenneth J. Houck, Jr.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 15, 2012, at the Flint Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. Reverends Rebecca Yarbrough and Dr. Larry Twitty will officiate.
